Dr. Ashley Poklar, PhD
Dr. Poklar, is a Clinical Psychologist with a background in adolescent and adult psychology. Dr. Poklar is driven to help people reach their full potential, a proud mother of four and also the author of My Inner Compass: A Workbook and Planner for Purposeful Living.
Dr. Poklar specializes in bridging the gap between education, psychology, and development through parental coaching and support, psychological assessment, and collaboration with families and child serving entities (such as schools, community organizations, and extended family members.)
At Recover, as a Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Poklar is focused on reviewing evaluations and assessments to ensure that our clients receive accurate diagnoses as well as assistance with all appropriate accommodations they need to reach their full potential.
Dr. Poklar earned her bachelor’s degree in Special Education from College of Charleston, in Charleston, SC. She earned a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Cleveland State University in Cleveland, OH.
Outside of her practice, Dr. Poklar enjoys traveling, homeschooling her four children and cheering for her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers.
