Ken DeCesare’s personal struggle with mental health for over a decade – almost losing his life before finally hitting rock bottom, finding recovery and rebuilding, is what motivates him to help other people change their lives.
In recovery since 2014, Ken learned to replace his old behaviors with proven, effective techniques and strategies that not only helped him in his own recovery but are now central to the treatment philosophy used by Recover.
In 2016, Ken helped start a nonprofit organization called Invest in Recovery to help people in recovery from addiction re-enter the workforce & rebuild their lives. His goal was to provide free resume writing, interview training and hold job fairs connecting people in recovery looking for work with employers across the Greater Orlando area who were hiring and who believed in the power of second chances. His work with Invest in Recovery has been written about and covered by FOX 35 Orlando, the Orlando Sentinel, and The Recovery Village.
And working together with his former therapist, Kelly, they launched what is now Recover to bring effective and affordable mental health care to everyone.
Ken has the unique ability to bridge the gap between business and service to others. And his definition of success is to live life with purpose and passion for everything he does every day.
When he’s not working to help others, Ken loves spending time and traveling to new places with his wife Sasha and two daughters – Grace & Lily.
