Natasha Cook

Dr. Cook is a Clinical Psychologist based in Northern Virginia with two decades of working with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples to help them learn to consistently show up and become the best version of themselves.

Dr. Cook specializes in applying evidenced based approaches such as CBT, DBT, and MI to work with a variety of mental health diagnoses in an effective way. These approaches encourage the use of techniques to assist with self soothing through effective coping skills outside of the therapy sessions which increases clients’ feeling of confidence through enhanced competence. Dr. Cook approaches working with clients from the stance that they are the experts on themselves and she’s a guide to help her clients become the best version of themselves. Using the strength of this working relationship, she’s been able to introduce and explain psychological techniques, skills, and resources that have created significant positive impacts and led to meaningful changes within her clients’ lives.

At Recover, as a Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Cook is focused on reviewing evaluations and assessments to ensure that our clients receive accurate diagnoses as well as assistance with all appropriate accommodations they need to reach their full potential.

Dr. Cook, received her BA in Psychology from the Washington University in St. Louis, MO, and her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Loyola College in Baltimore, MD.

Outside of her practice, Dr. Cook enjoys traveling, spending time with her family and cheering for her beloved Philadelphia sports teams.
